Dr. David Husted, MD

When we found out our son was doing drugs under Dr. Husteds care we went to him. He said he had no idea, he had no advice for us, he did NOTHING! Recently our son was taken to the hospital and BakerActed. It was a Suicide Attempt. He had broken both legs, his nose and facial bones. Dr Husted was his psychiatrist for years; ironically he is also the Director of both of the psych units. We called him several times and no response. The staff in the units said he was aware of his pt. being hospitalized and NEVER CAME TO SEE HIM. I know our son saw him recently, I have a recent prescription from him. Obviously he really doesn’t care. The unit staff didn’t expect even know who he is!!

Really plays the game and has no true interest. I went with her because she was always crying. He told her trite platitudes and no positive feedback at all. He watches the clock more than listening to patients who are desperate for help.

Dr. Husted is an amazing physician. I honestly could see the compassion and his concerned for my well being. And the staff share in that same concern and compassion. It is probably one of the best physician practices I have been to. It took me sometime to get in as a new patient. But well worth the wait. If you can wait, wait. I have seen him four times and both him and his staff know me by name. That is not found in doctors office's anymore. They need to take that and bottle it up and use them as a standard for all doctor offices. Trust me he is well worth the wait.

Dr. Husted is such an amazing psychiatrist. Generally, I would dread going to appointments, but I look forward to my visits because he really "gets" me and is an excellent listener & problem-solver. I have never had such trust in any doctor as I do in Dr. Husted and I actually enjoy going to appointments and feel better each time I see him. We have had to try many different avenues as far as medication and he is always upbeat and understanding when I decide to discontinue...and he comes up with alternative solutions. I can't say enough positive things about him. Truly outstanding!

Amazing Doctor and staff

I have been seeing Dr. Husted for about 4 years. He cares about the well being of his pacients. He takes time to discuss concerns. He gently raises any issues with compassionate and logical way. He truly is a health care professional.

One can always feel confident and positive when visiting Dr. Husted. He is very skilled at what he does and always gives you the right words on how to deal with the situation you are experiencing. I highly recommend him as a physchiatrist.

I have been bringing my intellectually challenged brother to Dr. Husted for over 2 years. Every visit is a pleasure, and very informative. He not only treats my brother, but helps the family understand how to deal with the challenges which come with this population. I have already referred a close friend of mine, and she is very pleased with the care he provides. What I appreciate most, is Dr. Husted's willingness to work with the patient and family to reduce medications while striving for the quality of life that my brother deserves. I thank God for having had met Dr. Husted.

Dr. Husted offers highly effective cognitive therapy in a very supportive, down to earth maner. He guides you through the process more as a partner. I have already recommended him to others and will continue to do so.
