Dr. David James Jacoby

Service was poor. Conditions were dirty, the nurse was unknowledgeable about gallstones or pregnancy. Waited for the Doctor for four hours. Dr Jacoby did not know any more about gall stones or pregnancy. We were given bad information and the treatment recommended was so far off, even I was aware it was wrong. After he contacted my wifes doctor, he was told not to give any of the medications he suggested and to release her. The tests results that he was interoperating has abnormal normal for a pregnant women. The amount billed for his 10 minutes of wisdom cost $547 in addition to what Westlake Emergency charged. The insurance company paid the appropriate amount which was $172. The balance was then made our responsibility. The billing is farmed out to a billing service in another state that harassed us over payment for the balance while it was being disputed. Do yourself a favor and go to a real hospital.

The facility was dirty, the nurse that treated me prior to seeing the doctor was a slob and comply uninformed. We have been advised by our doctor and several nurses @ Seton to never go to Westlake Emergency. They overcharge what insurance will pay and because they are out of network, you are responsible for the gross over billing. Dr. Jacoby spent 5 minutes with me giving me bad information and billed me $547.
