Dr. David Sheldon James, MD

I really liked Doctor James however his office is not accessible to someone who is handicapped. You would think they would make sure patients are able to get in and out of their building as well as maneuver a wheelchair through their office with ease. They are an office who sees patients who are very I'll and have difficulty breathing. When you arrive at their office and you need to get through the door, there is a note which tells you to push the button for help with the door heaven forbid if your wheelchair doesn't allow you to get close enough to the door to push it! Once you have pushed the bottom you are required to sit outside until someone decides they're going to let you in! Once you are inside its almost impossible to maneuver a wheelchair through the office. To comply with ADA standards the doorways should be wider than a regular door frame, but they're not. It's very frustrating and feels like you are being discriminated against. It's heartbreaking that I am being forced to… find a new doctor just because they refuse to comply with ADA regulations. I have filed a complaint with the ADA.

Took a month to get in but Dr James took plenty of time with me and listened to my concerns and answered my questions. He came up with a plan of action to get to a diagnosis and, although we're not there yet, I'm confident he'll find out what's wrong with me.
