Dr. David-James Jay Bloom, MD

I love Dr. Bloom. My family and I have been his patients since 1998. He is my OB/GYN doctor, delivered my youngest son, and heâ??s my kidsâ?? physician, he is my parents' physician and a lot of my friends go to him, too. I read the other comments on this web site and that's why I've decided to write this review. I'm sorry that those people didn't have a good experience in his office; they don't know what they're missing. He is a very good doctor, he is compassionate, he is smart and thorough, he answers all your questions in depth and he makes sure you understood the answers, he likes to educate you. He gives you straight forward advice and like my mom always says â??you donâ??t do what the doctor does you do what he saysâ??. I learned a lot though out the years from him, and about him and his office. HEENT â?? Make your appointment the first of the morning or the first of the afternoon so you donâ??t have to wait for too long. The reason why you have to wait for him is that he spends… a long time with each patient, he doesnâ??t leave the room until the patient understood or talked about all problems, he also sees patients with urgent problems that same day and sometimes his schedule is double booked, so you might have to wait a little to see him, but itâ??s worth it!

Dr. Bloom does not listen, is always late, likes to talk about himself more than listen to his patients, and spends so much time out of his office he never has appointments available in time to actually help an urgent problem. Wait time in the office can be an hour or more, staff are embarrassed and avoid the patients.

He is the most informed doctor I have ever had. I have to see a doctor once a week due to my medical needs (was mugged) and live on pain meds for rest of life due to nerve damage. He is so aware,the first time I saw this man he asked what meds I take. I told him & he said not with that body type you should not be taking that. He changed meds and made my blood pressure readings the best they've been in 30 years. He is the most knowledgable & friendly doctor I've ever had. Not only friendly, knowledgable but very funny & makes sure all your question are answered so

I made a visit with Dr. Bloom. His staff is rude and they treat patients like numbers. Im not going back!

He is a good doctor, though his office is in need of a facelift.. His front office staff could be nicer but his med aides are friendly.... He is funny, friendly and does his best to explain things clearly. He moves thru the visit quickly, as all doctors do, so it helps to be prepared and have all questions ready before he comes in so all concerns are addressed. I have 3 children all who are currently seen by him and 2 of whom he delivered. He is great with children and they respond well to him.

I never like to go to a doctors office. In my 34 years i finally found a doctor that cares about his patients. He is funny, compassionate and sentimental. Not only does he help people with their health he is a dedicated man in both spiritual ans cultural aspects.
