My 83 yo mother was terrified of dentists, until I took her to see Dr. David Johnson. He is a gifted doctor who is a perfect blend of compassion and expertise. Technically, he’s simply the best. My husband has been going here for years, so, when we got married, I went. The staff was friendly. I got the most uncomfortable X-rays ever, and they saw I needed a filling replaced and a different cleaning. Let's be clear here. Painful X-rays. A short cleaning. A friendly dentist. An appointment was made over a month in advance. In the meantime, my Mother-in-law died. My husband as her only child was put to task with me at his side. I forgot about my appointment. Flash forward. I just received a bill. $246 for the X-rays that left my mouth sore for a day, and the small cleaning. My insurance paid it all. Then... $200 for a missed appointment, which insurance will not pay. I just lost my second mom. I just dropped a lot of money to take time off of work (not paid) and travel expenses. Now, this. Shame on you Dr's and your staff for making an already difficult time, even harder.
