Doctor Joye really gets down to what is really needed and that's your true inner-self. He makes the time to figure out why you're really there. That might be uncomfortable for some, but for most, it is the true meaning of self-healing. Without Dr Joye's help, I would not be where I am today, hands down.

You aren't just a number to Dr. Joye. He takes the time to be personable and and his humor will make you smile. He believes in prescribing the least amount of medications necessary, which is rare with most pdocs. Dr. Joye is the most compassionate doctor I've ever been to. You absolutely will not regret choosing him.

If you are looking for a pyscharist or just want to pay a lot to be around a great person, you'd be crazy to not go with dr. Joye. He is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen. Not because he gives me the correction medication or because he sees you within ten minutes, what makes him so amazing is that he truly cares about you and can read what is really going on almost within seconds of meeting you. I remember my first appointment he asked me to talk about myself and when I was done he told me his thoughts on what was going on and he was on point, more than my family and friends. He will be real and sometimes he may seem intense, but learning how to cope with mental illness is a challenge within itself and honestly, we need people who are going to be intense and tell us more than "just believe in yourself...here's some Xanax". He will tell you what you need to hear, and help you take the steps to reach the place you deserve to be. If you are looking for a doctor and you don't… even consider him you are missing out. For all he has done for me, I would change the world for him to repay him.

UNCG Student Health Services provides a very professional, sanitary, and comfortable environment for all health care aspects. I've struggled with my depression since I was a toddler, and find Dr. Joye to be extremely competent. He is also very candid, will not beat around the bush, and has a reasonable approach.

As a student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I have been going to Dr. Joye since 2008. He is, by far, the best doctor I have ever been to. Not only is he very professional, but he is light-hearted, friendly, and down-to-earth. He makes sure to listen carefully to his patients, then comes up with explanations and tasks that are reasonable and helpful. I'm saddened that my time with him is coming to an end, but if I ever find myself residing in Greensboro again, he will be the doctor I see!

Dr. Joye has helped me realize my strengths and helped me have the confidence to achieve them. He is a great listener, tells me his straight forward opinions, and is never fake with me. He talks to me the way I would expect a real friend to.
