Dr. David Michael Kassel, MD

I really like DR. Kassel, I prefer doctors who are blunt and straight to the point, yet can make me laugh and feel comfortable. I don't want things sugar coated, that just eats up time. I think it's great that he is willing to try everything and make surgery the last possible option. His time spent with you goes quick, but if you ask him all your questions he answers them all. I like the goals we set which is to avoid surgery as long as possible and get the pain to go away with the least amount of drugs (I hate pills). He prescribed me 15 tablets of Flexeril a month ago, half of them are still in the med cabinet. He also spotted a 3rd herniated disc on the MRI, when my physician, a neurologists and the people at the radiology center missed it. He showed it to me and there it was clear as day. He's a good knowledgeable doctor and that's what matters to me the most.

Dr. Kassel is one of the coldest, rudest doctors I have ever been to. I am in constant pain and in need of back surgery and as my tears were welling up, I was told to "stop whipping myself into a frenzy". I found this amusing since he had just questioned me about my tranquilizer use prescribed by another doctor! He is not someone you want to see if you need help.
