I wish I could talk to the man who said his wife had a botched gallbladder removal. It sounds just like what he did to me. My husband feels the same way.

This doctor dropped me two days prior to my procedure that I had been waiting for a month, which under my present condition is a long time to wait, because I belong to a California Covered plan I was dropped, the secretary is rude, uninformed with total disregard for patients needs, just a paper pusher, the doctor just a money monkey

I contacted Dr Kim due to GI issues and my first appt went ok, however I was taken aback when he suggested a colonoscopy (I'm 38) not to mention every single person I saw leaving was getting a colonoscopy or some surgical procedure scheduled (red flag of a possible questionable practices) waited well over 1 hr despite there were 2 people in the waiting room & 1 in the back room....had procedure & was told "a-ok" then immediately scheduled for a endoscopy....when I asked him "what for" he said "oh just to look around" wait WHAT?? so I waited, thought and decided no to the endoscopy...a few months later I found out I had mild fatty enlargement of liver (no alcohol/drugs/etc so no reason for that) and I went back in "Oh don't worry Linda we'll do an endoscopy and get to the bottom of it..we will know what's causing it by the end of the procedure..fair enough...the day of the procedure Dr Kim seemed utterly clueless and even asked me how I knew I had an enlarged liver, and then insisted we… would deal with it when I came out of anesthesia...when I did my follow up 1 wk later he insisted that I needed this time an endoscopic ultrasound to check my liver??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I asked you to check that before you even scheduled my procedure, not to mention he has a reputation for being late to the hospital for "procedures" (both times both nurses had to wait because he was late for both procedures)not to mention that he conveniently "forgot" to request my CT scan final report that he had allegedly requested before I had the first procedure ever done...then after I told him I would be letting his practice "go" as my doctor after this next procedure because I didn't feel took proper care of me, to which I was threatened with the cancellation of me seeing a specialist & nasty and rude comments.

Bad,uncaring front office.Wait times are over an hour.threaten into collections over outstanding $5 bill.No followup treatment.All about the money.Don't go.

My wife received a botched gallstone removal operation from Dr. Kim at Little Company of Mary Hospital. It was an Emergency room operation so we were assigned by the hospital. He botched the operation, answered no questions and left the hospital. My wife was in the hospital for a month. Three month's of in-home care afterwards. My wife was 32 years old at the time. She still suffers from recurring pancreatitis because of Dr. Kim's handiwork.

Having had my third Colonoscopy with Dr Kim and him using Pacific in Torrance, can only highly recommend Dr Kim for his skills , professionalism and experience.

My dad went to Dr. Kim for a G-tube placement. He was very pleasant and sympathetic with our situation. We needed the procedure done asap. He squeeze my dad in for the very next day! The surgery was very successful. He is what I would call a good doctor.

I have had my last two colonoscopies performed by Dr. Kim with no complications so I have to assume that he is a competent doctor. He is a nice, friendly and soft spoken person. Each time, he puts me to sleep so I don't feel a thing which is the way I like it. My only gripe with him is that he is not as communicative as I'd like him to be. He rushes through a visit and does not take the time to explain everything clearly unless I ask the questions. That seems to be the mode of operation for a lot of the doctors these days.
