Dr. David Chester Kmak, MD

I've been seeing Dr Kmak for 28 years now and he's a great doctor, very compassionate and attentive to needs. He is a trustworthy doctor who saved me from getting a hysterectomy which I didn't need to have done. I saw 2 other doctors who told me I needed to get a hysterectomy because I had fibroid tumors. Dr Kmak read my results and thoroughly explained it to me and said, you don't need a hysterectomy. Here is 28 years later and he was right. I'm still doing great. Thank you Dr Kmak!

I had over 23 fibroid tumors and didn't know what to do. I had gotten the run around from multiple doctors who didn't want to deal with my condition. I was hemorrhaging constantly and struggling. I visited specialists who wanted to cut me open or put me through menopause and then cut me open. Dr Kmak offered to do a laprascopic hysterectomy. He was able to do this the week before Thanksgiving, so that I could teach the following week! Guess what? I spent 1 night in the hospital, was taking 20 minute walks 4 days later, and returned to my normal workout routine within 2 weeks. This guy is awesome! When my ovaries slowed down after the hysterectomy, he put me on estrogen when my PCP didn't even understand what was going on. Best doctor ever!

I've seen Dr. Kmak for 13 yrs now. He's delivered 4 children for me and I wouldn't go to any other doctor. He's a great Doctor. He listens to his patience and has a great staff behind him which makes every visit comfortable.

Dr Kmak himself is OK, however, his front end staff are horrible to deal with - rude and surly - being in a downtown location I'm sure they have to deal with a range of patients but it doesn't mean they should respond in a like-manner. I was referred to Dr Kmak by OBGYN and wish there had been an alternative. All in all it was a very unpleasant experience - the office manager was very unhelpful and as for their 'so-called' billing specialist Robin - I'd go as far as calling her negligent in her work ethic. I was being seen for a very time-sensitive and urgent matter and felt like his office gave me the run-around on a number of occasions when I call for help. Dr Kmak do yourself a favor and fire your front-end staff and get yourself some helpful, compassionate women to work in your office - so ironic you're office is a women's specialty clinic.

I really don't like this doctor b/c he did surgery at my wife. After the surgery never provided me any information how the surgery went etc.. and what he did. I have not information given. This what we expect from a doctor.
