Dr. David Ryan Knowles, MD

Just got off the phone with Knowles and was told to find another urologist because I was rude to his staff. That’s the short version. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer by my General Practitioner and was referred to Knowles by him 5 years ago. Every visit I have gone to he has his laptop open and typing before you can fully understand and then answer his questions. He was always in a hurry to get out as fast as he could. Last week, I was told to get bloodwork done and that Knowles’ office would call it in. Nurse calls me on Thursday and demands to know where the PSA results were and that they need it. She neglected to say until the next day that they made a ‘human error’ and didn’t call the order in. Needless to say, she never apologized for the error and ran to Knowles only telling her side of the story. I should have left the minute he told me I had prostate cancer 5 years ago and I should have gotten a second opinion but that’s on me. Looks like people say nice things about him… and his staff on this website but I’m not one of them.

Dr. Knowles is a great doctor! He was very caring and took the time to listen to my concerns. His receptionists are very sweet, always helpful when I call!

Dr Knowles is the most caring and knowledgeable doctor I have ever had. His bedside manner, professionalism, and knowledge are top notch!! He is always available when needed and even called me at home to check on me to see how I was doing. Highly recommended!

Ouch that last review is bad. I wish I knew who had such a bad experience. We would try to make it better.

Absolutely worst dr I've seen for my SERIOUS condition,when I realized his uncaring incompetence I left him and tried convincing 4 people I grew up with who were as ill as me to leave him- they're all dead,, I'm still attempting to survive,,,BEWARE!!!

I had a vasectomy today. Dr. Knowles and his staff are very professional and they make your experience very comfortable and pleasant. Dr. Knowles also made my experience during the surgery very comfortable and actually entertaining. We had a conversation as if nothing was happening and I'll admit I was quite nervous given the procedure I was having done right up until he came into the red room. Once we started talking I was no longer worried.

I recently had a consult with Dr Knowles and needed a CT scan. My insurance required authorization. The lady in the office who handles this, got the authorization approved the same day as my consult! Now that is fast. I got the CT scan and the f/u both within 1 week of the original consult. I highly recommend this office. Great staff.
