Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Kornguth graduated from Columbia University in New York City and subsequently received his Doctorate from Boston University School of Medicine. His specialty training in Radiation Oncology was at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the number one ranked cancer care center in the United States. Dr. Kornguth continued on staff at M.D. Anderson as Assistant Professor before relocating to California. Prior to establishing the Golden Gate Cancer Center, Dr. Kornguth was instrumental in the creation of a new cancer care center at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland. Dr. Kornguth has a wealth of experience in treating different types of cancer, but is now devoted to providing state-of-the-art care for men with prostate cancer.
