Dr. David N Kovar, MD

I moved to the Denver area and thought I conducted the right research to select a cardiologist. I had been diagnosed with my heart disease for over 20 years. I have not met a more uncaring and inept group in those years than this group. When I saw Dr. Kovar he ordered an Echo. He didn't compare this echo with other echos I have had and thus the test was worthless. I asked him if we could raise the upper limits of my device when I had a device check and he said "no problem, just tell them to adjust it" I went in and the tech admitted she did not feel comfortable with Boston device and asked me to go to a different location in the morning and they would have a rep there. I did so, and they told me and charted in my charts they raised the limits when they didn't do so. The nurse Risa covered for them and was vehement they had raised it and demanded that I take and incredible higher dosage of medicine (which Dr. Kovar denied he put in the charts) and the manager Nathan Malone was… emphatic they adjusted the device. Two weeks later and after numerous calls Dr. Kovar called and said he was not the type of Cardiologist I needed to see (why didnt he say that before all of this?) and admitted they did not adjust my device even though they charted they did. We are now four weeks into this endeavor no return call from Dr. Kovar or his nurse even though he said he would return the call. Mr. Malone is no longer there. So after four visits and a multitude of calls still no resolution. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

Dr. Kovar is just an amazing doctor, super smart, down to earth, personable. He saved my life when he did a surgery/stent on me when I came with my heart attack. He is the best doctor I have ever had.
