Dismissive and Uncoordinated ER Care After Surgery My experience at MUSC’s Emergency Department with Dr. David Krusling was deeply concerning. After excellent surgical care earlier that day, the ER visit that night was entirely different. I arrived with a racing heart, tremors, and breathing difficulty, but staff seemed inattentive and equipment was left disconnected with no consistent monitoring. Although Dr. Krusling asked why I came, he was dismissive of my symptoms, failed to assess my pain or review medications for possible reactions, and declined to contact my surgeon despite repeated requests. He also added significant stress by abruptly stating that a test showed something that could life-changing, stating he’s making a referral, then leaving the room without concern, compassion, or explanation. I was discharged to continue the same regimen that, in my view, was potentially worsening my condition. I left feeling unsafe, dismissed, and anxious about my recovery. Based on this… experience, I cannot recommend this facility or physician No patient should be treated in this manner, and MUSC must address these serious lapses in professionalism, care, and communication.

I have traveled worldwide and have been to several hospitals for ER visits for myself, my parents and my children. Dr. Krusling is one of the most top notch and knowledgable doctors we have met. He is extremely calm and professional. I left the ER feeling I had the best care I could ask for. No one ever wants to go to an ER but if you need to this is the doctor to have.

Horrible experience. He will be sued by my two family members whom are dentists once I die. I have a rare hyperparasitic disease. Saw him in Feb. Couldn't breathe and he couldn't care less! I have documented diagnosises that he refutes to believe. Horrible bedside manner, horrible physician. My brother and father are in a practice together, established 40+ years. They will call media attention to the lack of care by this MD.
