I recently had bunion surgery, which is healing according to expectations. Dr. Kuester advised me before the procedure that the recovery time would be about 8 + weeks. His advice to keep the foot elevated, apply ice, and take the pain medications the first few days was greatly appreciated. I was able to keep the pain at bay and found that by continuing elevating and icing I was able to skip the pain meds, using ibuprofen when needed. I highly recommend Dr. Kuester to anyone looking for a skilled and personable orthopedic surgeon. His staff is friendly and knowledgable also.
