dr kunkel is an excellent gastroenterologist. he is knowledgeable, attentive and takes the time to explain things clearly without rushing the visit. I felt listened to and confident in the plan we discussed. the office was efficient, appointments were on time, and the staff was courteous and professional. Overall, a very positive experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Dr. Kunkel is an amazing physician!!! He is knowledgeable, caring, and personable. He has the ability to take complex concepts and break them down into understandable morsels, all while making sure I understand every step of the process. He listens extensively, truly cares about this patients, and presents a gradient of options. I am thoroughly impressed and cannot thank Dr. Kunkel for his depth of expertise and guidance. He is one in a million!

Felt like the doctor came to the appointment with a plan of what he wanted to recommend/prescribe, and rather than listen to what was being said, just kept going back to his plan. Since the issue was pain management, and all he wanted to do was increase the medication which causes more pain, were left very frustrated by the appointment. He seemed in a hurry to tell us his plan and get us off the video. Truly unsatisfactory and in the end, due to the pain caused by the additional medication he prescribed, patient simply unable to follow his plan and stopped taking the medication altogether. So a complete fail overall. Also frustrating that he has residents and others field/respond to questions. If we had wanted those other people to be the doctor, would have made an appointment with them.

Solved my throat and reflux issues. Physician and entire care team were very attentive. Beautiful facilities, all of the latest tech. Best decision made to come out here.

Patient, caring, knowledgeable - Dr. Kunkel is one of the best GI doctors I've met!

Dr. Kunkel is my favorite GI specialist. I appreciate the GENEROUS TIME that he spends with me at each visit, since I have longstanding gastrointestinal problems due to scleroderma. He has all the latest tools and gadgets available from scopes to pH testing, Smartpill. However, what really sets him apart is the quality of the PEOPLE on his team. I can honestly say that I've never been treated by a more caring physician, nurse clinical coordinator, office staff and NP - and I've seen my fair share over the years! I ALWAYS get excellent follow-up after the visit whenever there has been any change in my treatment plan, a true 'medical home.'

Dr. Kunkel's staff kept promising that he would make time for me as a follow up 3 months after my first visit. I gave up on him after a year as he never found the time to respond other than multiple times telling his staff who told me that he would follow up next week. He never did and abandoned me.

Dr. Kunkel is absolutely one of the best. I have been battling my GI symptoms for some time now and have seen multiple physicians. However, none have been as compassionate and caring as Dr. Kunkel. He explained everything in detail to me, listened and offered multiple options. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Kunkel oversaw all the testing and treatment of my reflux. He explained every step along the way, furnished me with detailed handouts, and his team was always quick to respond through myChart. Most importantly, he has helped safeguard my precious new lungs from the noctural reflux I had been experiencing.

I saw Dr Kunkel today, he gave me hope after seeing two other doctors and suffering for almost a year. Dr Kunkel is different then any specialist I have ever met he took his time listened and had so much knowledge and empathy, I started to cry I felt for the first time someone cares and can help me!
