Dr. David C Kuo, MD

I thought a Dr. was supposed to get to know their patients, understand their full profile, and not judge just by their belief’s. At first, Dr. Kuo was attentive, kind, and seemed to be genuinely concerned for my overall health and well being. But, his in office practice was mostly, only listening to what he wanted to hear, what his opinion was was fact and no patience with you, only treated with Steroid shots, breathing treatments and froze off a skin growth (hope it wasn’t cancer).. then I’d go somewhere else & find out I was actually having legitimate issues that weren’t my imagination to get medicine from him.. if your sick and need to come in immediately for problems that waiting a day for his opening are to painful to wait.... which was most of the time... they’d get angry. He basically would say after routine bloodwork, see you in 6 months.. unless you need to come in... which was not convenient for him or you. No matter, what a Dr. “thinks” about you, or “knows” about you,… gives them no right to assume your intentions are not good, judge by a percentage of patients in a category, and talk to you sternly about your character flaws, when they know you have depression & other issues that obviously have NO CLUE, of how a human feels. All patients are not the same, people are complex and more than an insurance code or nuisance. He was so rude to me and demeaning in front of his staff, wife, and other patients, like I was a bad person. But, he had a file 1 inch thick on my medical issues. He’s rude, judgmental, and can’t hardly keep up with his patients true needs... maybe he should retire.

He is not knowledgeable and won't take the necessary vitals (blood pressure etc) when you visit him. Stay away from this doctor; he is just money minded, and no dedication and does not how to talk to patients and how to handle them.

During my first visit the doctor seemed to not believe anything I said and seemed to expect the worst in every situation. Also when we were talking and the fact that my mother is a homosexual was brought up he seemed aghast and not able to handle that information. Despite that bad first visit he refilled my scripts and continued to do so until today. When I called to find out why I was told "Well you haven't seen the doctor in 6 months. I don't know what you expect?", when I went to reply was then told "Maybe you should just find another doctor". I was shocked and when I tried to reply I was hung up on.

I've been seeing the wonderful Dr. Kuo and his fantastic staff for close to 10 years. I can't say I enjoy being sick, but when I am I've always received the best care.

He does not like to prescribe medicine unless absolutely necessary. He has high concern for my care and issues. He is also available on Saturdays. I will continue seeing him as my doctor as long as he is on my insurance!
