Dr. David Carl Leppla, MD

So surprised by the reviews, as Dr. Leppla was my brain surgeon in 2007 and removed a LARGE meningioma! A very long and difficult surgery due to location, but he held my hand (and my family's) every step of the way. I found him to be incredibly kind, knowledgeable and thorough before, during and the many years of follow up afterwards. I feel so fortunate that he was my surgeon and highly recommend him.

I had an l4/l5 fusion in 2015 had a cfl aftsr surgery. Now i had xray because of br2in so much pain.. Xray shows i have a screw coming out and a fracyure. Nit happy camper.

I accompanied my husband to a consult with Dr. Leppla for a brain bleed my husband suffered a few days before. The Doctor had little to say, except there was no treatment for my husband's condition. He did not explain much about the prognosis, and stood with his hand on the doorknob while we asked a few questions. We were so put off by his "non-bedside-manner" that we left with some questions unanswered. I found him to be humorless and indifferent.

The Dr. seemed ironically impatient and bored. I had to tell him to slow down 3 times. This is all about my nerves and my mobility. The least he could have done was to act concerned or interested.

Not thorough.

I consider myself as blessed, to have had Dr. David Leppla Neurosurgeon as my surgeon for 3 spinal surgeries over the past 10 years. Dr Leppla is a no non-nonsense, straight forward, excellent physician and surgeon.
