Dr. David Scott Littrell, MD

Great Dr. Been seeing Dr. Littrell for a long time and he is never in a hurry, always willing to explain things.

He doesn't care about his patients. If you was born with a defect and have to take a lot of medication in your early 20s he complains about your defect to you every time you go to see him he has no courtousy and no kindness what so ever he doesn't care about his patients and doesn't want to listen to what you have to say

Both my sister and I (as well as our families) have visited Dr. Littrell for years. We like his knowledgeable and straight forward advice. You can be upfront with him (as all patients should be). If you believe a medication will work for you, do not be afraid to suggest it. Overall, we hope to continue to see Dr. Littrell as long as he is in practice.

Very poor communication and attention to patient. Seemed not interested and not very knowledgeable about generalist practice. He was really crass and rude. I withdrew my records immediately.

Dosen't want to work hard and gets upset if he has to.He will blow-up if you are having more then two problems.

After having been a patient with Dr. Littrell for almost 10 years, I am no longer seeing him due to his lack of concern for his patients. I presented with symptoms of isolated itching, fatique, body/joint pain and overall feelings of detachment. His response was, "There is nothing wrong with you. Why do you want to be sick?" I signed up to participate in a medication study -- a medication he had prescribed to me, to be included in the study; a physical examination, psychological exam and blood work was a requirement. When the blood test results came back, they called me and told me my liver enzymes were elevated to the point of concern. I went to see Dr. Littrell as requested, he proceded to tell me that I should not participte in "those studies" and as far as the liver enzymes were concerned, he said that he has patients on cholestrol medication that have higher enzymes. I was not on any medication except for anti-depressants. I asked for specific answers as to why my enzymes would be… so high -- he reported to me again, "There is nothing wrong with you." He said that he would waste my money ( I have health insurance) and order blood tests and to keep me from "Freaking out" he would also order an ultra-sound of my liver. For my follow up appointment with Dr. Littrell, he did not attend this appointment -- he sent in one of his associates who systematically and without empathy informed me that I was Hep C. positive. I admit I put myself in precarious situations as an teen and yound adult however, with my referral in hand I went to another doctor who specializes in specific maladies -- after more refined tests, I was informed that I have been Hep C. positive for approximentally 20 years. According to the specialist, I was presenting with the classic symptoms of Hep C. and was taken seriously by my G.P. To me,this is just another example of how a person is not taken into consideration for knowing their own body and when the body is trying to tell them something. All Dr.Littrell would have had to do was a simple blood test to rule out Hep C. but he didn't and then would not take responsibility for his oversight.
