Dr. David Alexander Lyons, MD

He is very personable and will lure you into seeing him as a psychiatrist. He over prescribes medications without warning you anything. I think his intentions might be good (I'm not sure if he genuinely thinks he's helpful) but he's irresponsible and relentless. I left with no relief from mental issues that I had and would have been better off with just therapy. It was stupid of me to not get a second or third opinion. I guess I was just unlucky. Just steer clear of him and make sure you find a psychiatrist who is mindful of prescriptions. He is not a bad person, just a bad psychiatrist.

Dr. Lyons has stabilized my moods through medication. He is easy to talk to and provides education regarding my mental health issues. I feel lucky to have found such a great psychiatrist.

You would be well advised not to see Dr. Lyons! I did not receive an accurate diagnosis after many visits! His practice of prescribing large amounts of Rx caused me to be extremely overmedicated. He was very aware of this yet, it continued. I too, asked for my records when leaving his practice. After 3 months, I finally got them. There are plenty of good Drs out there. Don't settle for a dangerous one!

I asked for my records since I was going to another Dr. and he did not even return my call. I called a few times...no response. No feedback was given to us...just questioned my child...provided nothing gainful to us as parents and did not help our child...just prescribed medicine.
