Dr. David Brent Mabey, MD

Dr. Mabey was very efficient and professional. He was able to give the tests that found my problem and gave prescriptions to take care of it. He was friendly and concerned. A good doctor, I think.

Absolute rudest unprofessional Dr we've ever seen, we went to intermountain hospital emergency I was but by a pit bull, my husband broke hand when hit dog to get it off me. He gave my husband 7 lortabs to last 1 week till he could see orthopedic dr, my bite was cleaned in triage because I was bleeding everywhere, it was cleaned in back again and he told me Dr would check to make sure no flushing or stitches would be needed. He put splint on husband, gave me rx for 5 days of antibiotics. I asked for diflucan because I get yeast infection when I take. He said "go buy cream and start using right away" I bet he wouldn't tell his wife or sisters that. He was leaving with cart out door several steps and I called him and mentioned he was supposed to check my wound. He literally turned head rolling eyes and said he was told it was fine. I had to f/up with my pcp about 1 1/2 weeks later due to abscess. She asked if they flushed, I said they didn't, she asked if they have me tetanus… shot, I said no they mentioned but never gave. I'm angry, if he would have even looked at and treated me but he didn't I probably wouldn't have infection now. He was also rude to staff and didn't want to sign something, nurse told him it was new protocol but he refused because he was unaware. He is no Dr, his name matches his title because mabey he isn't a Dr?!! Total jerk he needs to find a different profession, if I were dying and they took me to him I would ask to be transferred elsewhere, I feel my chance of survival would be better
