Born and raised in Chicago IL, he attended Kenwood High School in Hyde Park and graduated in 1977. He went on to study and earn his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois and finished in 1980 (1 year early). Dr. Maclin continued to study at the University of Illinois Dental School and graduated in 1984 with two degrees, Science of Dentistry and Dr. of Dental Surgery.
Throughout the years, Dr. Maclin has been consistent in keeping up with his continuing education and making sure that he stays up to date on the latest developments in dental science. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society, the Lincoln Dental Society and the Independent Dental Organization.
Dr. Maclin has one son who is attending High School at Lincoln Park High School. In his spare time he enjoys scuba diving and doing anything outdoors, no matter what the weather is like, he enjoys being outdoors.
