Dr. David Elliott Maldonado, DO

GO TO NORTH WEST MEDICAL INSTEAD. I’m not sure the blame lies with Dr Maldonado. The issue is his staff. Particularly the front office woman and his aid Roxy. Roxy kind of sets the tone for the whole office and she is a singularly unpleasant person to talk with. The staff never answers the phone and doesn’t return calls so there is no way for you to get information from them. Even something as simple as “How do I get on my father’s medical release form”. In addition they are untruthful with Dr Maldonado ( the front office woman said I was yelling at her, but I had a recording of the conversation and Dr Maldonado agreed that I wasn’t) and hang up on the telephone with people (they hung up on my mother and me and neither instance were we being rude) We have since moved my father out of Franciscan health and have nothing but rave reviews for North West. Like Dr Maldonado literally said in his examining room and I quote “I’m not your partner, I’m not your buddy and I’m not your… friend”…. And now your not our doctor

My father has four terminal illnesses and Dr. Maldonado was his GP. My brother needed information on my father, he's his POA so he needed a form to add him to the list so med staff could speak with him regarding my father's care. My brother called repeatedly to get the form and left several messages without return phone calls. Eventually he called the med group's switchboard and was put through to Dr. Maldonado's front counter staff. He politely told the receptionist what he needed and was put in contact with the nurse. The nurse told him she was unable to send him the form, couldn't continue talking with him, and hung up on him. I'm serious. He called back and spoke with her again, recording both conversations to prove he was polite, she hung up on him again. He drove there from about an hour away to get the form in person. On arrival, staff refused to talk with him and called Dr. Maldonado who took him into a back room and yelled at my brother for "threatening and yelling at"… his staff. My brother offered to play back the conversations for him to prove he was polite and professional, and Maldonado refused to listen, instead he continued berating him. At one point he put on a mask so he could lean into my brother's face to intimidate him. The guy acted like a child and should be avoided, along with his staff. What a horrible example of the medical profession, exactly the reason that people have difficulty trusting them.

As I am listening to music, I have to decide to tell you about my Dr. David Maldonado, I have been seeing him now for a year,he has been there for me ,how he ever got to take a test that I was putting off for awhile he did but it did come back good. On his profile he said that he would be there even if you need him to be there for you will he is there as I was going through heart stuff coming home from that I remember calling his office and going to just to talk to him about it ,he did made time for me which we didnt talk about it but to me he was there for me I guess I didnt talk about that day it was to much for me to deal with at the time ,but he was there.He very understanding and very kindhearted of a person which is want we all want when going to a doctor ,I have become very comfortable when going to his office. Thank you for taking care of me someday you will see me happy and worried about all the issue with my health, If you have read this please him a called he will take… care of you .As for his staff they are outstanding . they made you feel good no matter want the case is .

Great provider and staff! He is very efficient, knowledgeable and he follows up. The building he is in is a little hard to navigate, so give yourself plenty of time. He utilizes MyChart which is great for requesting refills, asking him questions, etc. They are very busy so be on time. I have never waited longer than 15 minutes in the waiting room. Their charting is extremely efficient. He's a great guy with lots of helpful advise. Like all doctors, he is very busy, so be patient and respectful of his time. He was trained and educated very well. He staff is very good too.
