Dr David T Martin, MD

Arrived with a malfunctioning ICD and a referral from my local clinic. Dr. Martin, backed by a very professional staff, isolated the problem and offered two treatment paths. I chose to have Dr Martin re-implant the leads. Within four hours the surgery was underway. I caused the only delay - carrots for lunch - The next day, I left for home with a good chance for a happy ending. I was impressed with Dr Martin's thorough, on-line review of my medical history. He allowed me to read along and ask and answer questions. Once the X-Rays arrived, he showed me that the leads had come loose as he had suspected. He dealt with me as a person and a patient.During the surgery, he demonstrated excellent command of, and co-ordination with the surgical team. His questions were precise and probing. Once, when I started to twitch, he probed until he isolated the cause. The next morning, he was in my room checking that all was well. Not a "fly by," with his car keys in hand, but a look you in… the eyes: "How are you doing." This is a very impressive Doctor.

Dr Martin knows his stuff! He isn't pushy with medications and is easy to get in touch with. I think he actually cares about his patients. I'm grateful for him to be my cardiologist.
