Dr. David Lee Masters, MD

Dr. David Masters was born and raised in Illinois. He attended Herscher High School and graduated in 1982. After high school, he entered the U.S. Navy and served six years as a hospital corpsman. Upon completion of his military service, Dr. Masters attended college at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991. He went to medical school at East Carolina University in Greenville and completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center in 1998. Prior to coming to Caldwell County, Dr. Masters practiced as a pediatrician in Goldsboro, North Carolina and Waynesboro, Virginia. Since returning to North Carolina, he worked with Mulberry Pediatrics as a pediatrician for a year before becoming the owner and primary pediatrician at Southfork Pediatrics. He is now proud to be working again with the Caldwell Physician Network at The Falls Pediatrics. Dr. Masters has special interests in treating children with ADHD. He is …also interested in other childhood developmental/behavioral issues, and breastfeeding/feeding issues. As a general pediatrician, Dr. Masters treats common and not-so-common pediatric problems. He provides admissions to Caldwell Memorial Hospital for inpatient care and newborn care. Dr. Masters is married to Tricia, a pediatric nurse practitioner, and they have two children, Ben and Rachel. Outside of work, Dr. Masters enjoys spending time with his family and enjoys writing short stories, reading and running.
