David R. Maxwell, DDS, PC
Dr. David R. Maxwell is a native of Holly Springs, MS. He received a bachelors of science in biology from Alcorn State University. He enlisted in the Mississippi Army National Guard at the age of 17 on the Montgomery G.I. Bill as a means to pay for college. Upon completion of his bachelor's degree, Dr. Maxwell married his college sweetheart. Upon starting their family he was accepted into Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Dr. Maxwell distinguished …himself as an exceptional dental student thus receiving numerous scholarships, honors, awards, and graduating at the top of his class.
One particular achievement that he is most proud ofis his appointment as aMajor in the United States Army Reserve Dental Corp. After graduating dental school Dr. Maxwell completed a general practice residency at Nashville General Hospital. His residency training focused on comprehensive dental care of the medically compromised patient.
After completing residency Dr. Maxwell accepted employment as a staff dentist at the Martin Luther King Jr. Family Clinic located in Dallas, TX. Within 9 months of his employment he was promoted to Director of Dental Services. It has always been his dream toown a practice and deliver quality comprehensive dentistry for the entire family. This dream came to fruition through Dr. Maxwell's establishment of Maximum Smiles Dental Center located in Rockwall, TX. Dr. Maxwell has been a part of the Rockwall community since relocating to Texas. Dr. Maxwell is an actively involved member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the Dallas County Dental Society.
Dr. Maxwell and his wife have two young children that attend Rockwall public schools. He and his family alsoattend church in Rockwall. In 2009 Dr. Maxwell was deployed to Iraq to serve our country in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Maxwell recently accepted a position to the board of directors with the Boys and Girls Club of Rockwall. In his free time, Dr. Maxwell enjoys reading, golfing, fishing and running.
