Dr. David Hurd Mccullough, MD

Not sure what the equivalent phrase for "good bedside manner" that applies to opthalmologists would be-- but Dr. David McCullough would rate extremely highly. Very patient and caring. Willing to spend time to explain and discuss eye issues. Would give outstanding grades and rankings.

Dr McCullough is my doctor and my daughter's. He is very thorough and compassionate. I wish he was a GP so I could go to him for everything! His technician is also very good.

My 3 kids and I had been patients of Dr. McCullough for probably 15+ years. Although he is a nice person, his diagnosis & prescriptions have become seriously errant, especially with young people who have deteriorating vision. After my daughter's last visit to him, a year's worth of contacts were ordered, & the expense & wait for new eyeglasses turned out to be completely & totally wrong. My young adult daughter requested another office visit to correct his mistake. She was promised by the office and Dr. McCullough himself that there would be no charge for this 2nd office visit to correct. Needless to say, my daughter had to pay to send back her contact lenses and glasses, and wait all over again, meanwhile, going literally blind without the proper prescription. And this has been repeated by him before. To add insult, the billing office charged her again for the 2nd visit, to repair the mistake that the Professional had made. My daughter called the office manager to remedy this,… wrote a polite letter to the doctor, & spoke personally with Dr. McCullough himself. All bets were off apparently ! Are we kidding here?! It's just sickening and unprofessional all the way around. His office staff was never friendly or helpful when I used to deal with them, although his assistant is nice. Dr. McCullough's prescriptions have repeatedly been so terribly off, that in my humble opinion he should have his medical license to practice opthamalogy revoked. This has not been a one-time boo boo. He should at the very least seriously give up on trying to prescribe contacts and glasses. Don't waste your money here.

I never mind going to see Dr. McCullough. He is so pleasant and so caring its like going to see a friend.

I visited Dr. McCullough annually the past 10? years. Absolutely first class ! .. the most calm & relaxed physician I've ever ! known. He spends as much time as needed to explain procedures, is patient, really a very warm human being .. unlike any other physician I've known. His assistant & staff are also all very professional, kind & welcoming. & knowledgeable.

Outstanding office staff. Curteous, reasonable, professional, just what you want when you go to the Dr.As for the Dr, been going to him for several years. Feel like I want to continue to do so for as long as possible. Hope he doesn't retire for 30 years. An excellent professional. A fair amount better than any other speacilast I visit.
