Dr. David Wyle Merens, MD

I have been seeing Dr Merens for 25 plus years. He delivered twins and a single birth over that time period, helped me with my struggles with infertility, and with PCOS. He always takes extra time to answer questions, is personable, and cares for his patients. I have never felt that his pat on the leg at the end of an exam was anything more than him being encouraging that what is normally an uncomfortable event for everyone in the room is over. Everyone is half naked during an exam like this and so not sure what the previous review was all about. I think some people just look for any reason to complain.

The emergency surgery went fine, but he literally laughed at my fears, failed to notice an infected incision on recheck, and was too handsy. When I'm half naked in the stirrups and he pats my knee, that's wrong, even though his intentions may have been benign.

I could ask questions and he never talked down to me. Great experience and I now have a healthy baby. Will see him again.

I love dr merens. He delivered my daughter and now I'm seeing him for my second pregnancy. I was seeing another doctor before and she was nice but dr merens is so much more personable and spends a lot of time with me and listens and my concerns.

Awful save yourself and you baby, seek a qualified doctor!

Had a csection. Dr merens had a midwife training without my knowledge or consent while doing my surgery. Very unprofessional... Never going to him again.

Dr, David Merens is the worst doctor I have ever met. When he first came in the room, he didn't knock, he blew open the door and almost hit my one year old son and husband who were sitting on a chair. Throughout the visit he kept talking over us, then made a suggestion for me to get an induction, even though I'm only 10 weeks into my pregnancy based on what he wanted to hear, not what I was saying, since he kept talking over me and not letting me finish my sentences. He has a bad bedside manner and when I asked my son if he wanted to hear the baby's heart beat when Dr. Merens was getting our second baby's hear rate. Dr. merens said, "oh he doesn't care about that, he won't until he's 5"! Wow, is all I have to say, and because of him I want to change my practice because I want to make sure I don't run into him at the hospital.
