Dr. David Robert Meyer, MD

Dr. Meyer is thorough and in his quiet way always shows interest in his patients, as well as a desire to listen to their concerns.. Believe me, he will be missed at the Mercy downtown location!!

I would not recommend Dr. Meyer to my worst enemy. In my appointments with him, he has been arrogant, and dismissive of my health concerns. His bedside manner is non existent. When I was first looking for a primary care doctor in the area, I found it was easy to get in to see Dr. Meyer over the many months I was supposed to wait to see other physicians. I know now that it's because he is the worst and must have trouble retaining patients.

Seemed to not care about my concerns. Would not tell me the side affects of my medication. He brushed me off like he was putting me threw a revolving door. He did not remember me or when he seen me before. I tried to tell him my issues and he brushed them off several visits. He sent me for blood work and did not Compleate the order so I was refused. I get the impression he dose not care what is wrong with me he just wants to get me in the door,out the door and their god my money with no treatment,explanation or attempt to diagnose me. In my case he showed no care or compassion fords me or real concern to know what's going on with me. Considering I pay almost 1300 a month and hi co pays for insurence for me and the family I feel disappointed in the treatment I get

Great Doctor with a lot of knowledge.

Takes an hour to talk to a real person, no apts for over a week at any given time, and the refill line doesn't work correctly. Dr. Meyer told me he suffers from "migraines" and that ibuprofen is enough for him so it should be enough for me. Never tried to get to the underlying cause until I demanded a referral they then referred me to a quack who stuck needles in my face then told me it was in my head (no pun intended). Thanks for nothing. I figured it out on my own.

The Advantage Health Office Downtown is an absolute nightmare. It starts with the rude and crabby receptionists. The head receptionist who is there quite often definitely needs to find another line of work. You can tell she is miserable and does not like people. Dr. David Meyer is ok as a doctor, you can tell he is new and needs some more experience. The problem is, if you do have a sick child do not plan on getting an appointment in less than a week, They obviously do not need to take anymore patients because they do not take care of the ones they have. My son was seen in the emergency room for an ear infection and I was instructed to follow up with his primary care physician who said the soonest appointment he would have was two weeks after the er visit. On several occasions where my children were sick I was told they did not have any openings and that I should go to the after hour clinic or the er. I don't understand why have a family doctor if they can never get you in. … Needless to say I love my children to much to ever put their health care in the hands of this horrible establishment. Hopefully they get shut down soon because the level of care in minimal at best.

not only is he a great doctor who pays attention to details he is a great individual with excellent expertise.

i've traveled all my life until settling here in mi. Dr. Meyer looks very young but must have been close to suffering for his sincerity and patience is that seen in only the very mature, the really great thing is he take the time to address all your concerns. you don;t leave feeling like youve been shuffled through
