Dr. David Ethan Miller, MD

I was to get a new patient with Dr. Miller so had to wait three months to get in. The day my appointment finally arrived, I was excited to see him and start working on a medication plan. However, when I arrived at the office —20 minutes early— I discovered by the front office assistant, Marcela, that I had never properly filled out my new patient information and HIPPA forms in the portal. I had thought I’d done that earlier, when I first scheduled my appointment, but apparently I hadn’t. So I asked Marcela if she’d help me get set up now that I was in the office and still had time before my appt was scheduled to start. Wow. That wasn’t going to happen! The treatment I received from her was absolutely appalling. She reprimanded me like I was a child, literally scolding me for failing to complete what was, as she made sure to point out, “the patient’s responsibility.” She snarled that I’d never responded to the voice mail she’d left me the day before. I apologized that I hadn’t seen… the voice mail, acknowledged that it was my fault, and asked her if perhaps we could find a solution —could she help me get set up since I was standing there in the office. But no. She was so incredibly rude, disinterested in helping me, and showed no compassion when I actually started crying I felt so frustrated. I couldn’t believe I was falling apart like that (I’m a 68 year old woman!), but she was so snotty it was unbelievable—the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I was literally begging her to just help me get set up in the system so I could see the doctor, but she refused. All she wanted to do was snap at me to make sure I understood this was MY fault. I finally had to leave. I never got to see Dr. Miller. She told me I’d need to wait nearly two months for the next available opening. And all this while I was standing in the office, ready for my appointment. It was appalling. I actually couldn’t believe the whole thing was happening. I left the place in tears, drove home, and started looking for a different psychiatrist. I would never go back there again. No one deserves to be treated the way Marcela treated me. It was a nightmare.

I had an appointment (telehealth) and I was ready and prepared for my appt, but got no login information or any communication beyond the reminder email the day before. I called at 3, 4 & 5 minutes after my appt was supposed to start. As per office policy my calls went to voice mail. I left vm with front desk and Katrina. I did not hear from anyone all day. Finally at 5:00 pm I sent a message to David Miller via the portal, and still no response. The next day as I started my work day and was in meetings and unable to answer my phone I started getting a couple of calls. I tried calling back at my availability and again left VMs. Played phone tag, and finally got an answer. At this point the receptionist started berating me about them attempting to contact me all morning and Katrina joins in saying she had records and I was at fault. Pushing me to an severe anxiety attack caused by what they diagnosed. To then only get a registered letter that they were dropping me as a patient.

Dr. Miller is a qualified Doctor - not good on follow up. He tends to let his mind wander will checking out different medications - this can be scary for new patients - staff is unwilling to answer the phone while he is a way - which is often. I'm thinking of leaving.

I have been seeing him since I had postpartum - he has treated me for that and ADHD and a sleep problem. I even did some Jungian transpersonal work with him, which I got a lot out of. I have been tapering off medications and he has been super supportive. He is a very good doctor.

He's there to make money and write scripts. You can say one thing and he immediately writes a new prescription. BTW his P.A. Is his wife but they pretend it's not true.

Too busy assisting wife (therapist in the adjacent office) to actually tune in to my crisis! Spends most of his time distracted by reviewing previous appointments notes and being interrupted by staff to truly take the time to connect with my problems! Very disconnected!! I will not be back to see him.

Very dishonest, networks his business with other doctors/therapists. No privacy. Only concerned about money he makes. Very rude.

He didn't listen to anything I said. He was rude and condescending. He didn't ask me what I would like to do for treatment. Instead, it was this is the treatment you will do. I will never return.
