Dr. Miller is always on time, has an attentive staff, and he is knowledgeable about the range of medications that might be appropriate for each patient.

Excellent diagnostic skills as well as acumen in psycho-pharmacology. I always feel he really cares; this is the only medical cpecialty where that really matters. I have worked in the field of psychiatry. I always felt very assured in referring clients to Dr. Miller. If first med does not help, do not get frustrated. It is trial and error in this specialty. Try, try again. He will work with your other specialty doctors, like cardiology. Staff is empathic; they are a real asset to his practice.Keep in mind that a psychiatric practice is going to attract extremely negatives reviews. Of course, we should look for patterns if poor care is rendered. But some patients are incredibly vulnerable , rejection-sensitive and make impossible demands. My final advice is to go to a psychiatrist for any mental health issues. Don't go to your GP for xanax or an SSRI; we'd shell out some extra cash for other specialties. Right?

One should certainly shop for a psychiatrist, as in any adventure when one's mental health is involved. Many patients however, have this thing called Narcissism, where it is simply impossible for them to be wrong. Anyone on the receiving end of this, or similar personalities, would simply retstae their reasons for a diagnosis. The fact one does not like a diagnosis (and, by the way, psychiatrists prescribe medications- it's what they do for a living; otherwise, one could see a psychologist or clinical social worker to address a problem) may have more to do with them than th epsychiatrist. I highly value Dr. Miller's opinions. The door is open to everyone. There's no need to attack someone's character beacuse you did not like them, especially when they can't respond, like on these personally irresponsible websites.

My experience with Dr. Miller has been good. I have been his patient off and on (fortunately there have been extended periods when I did not need medication) for about 15 yrs. I believe he diagnosed me correctly, prescribed appropriate medicine, and modified or changed it if necessary. His manner or sense of humor may not be to everyone's liking, however, I have never had a problem being listened to or being rushed.

I agree with a previous review. I was very unhappy with both the diagnosis and Rx. I called to discuss this with him and he would not do so over the phone. I was told that I would need to schedule an office visit and pay another $175. He has a terrible bedside manner and has his Rx pad right next to him so that he can get you in and out as quickly as possible. I have since left (it did not take me long to do so) and am currently properly diagnosed with the correct meds. I happened to speak with a hospital therapist a few months ago. She asked me what meds I have been on in the past...I told her that I was Prescribed adderall but did not finish the one month supply. She told ME the doctor's name (after I described my experience) and told me that she has ethical issues with him. Go figure!
