Dr. David Kyungchun Moon, MD

I saw Dr.Moon in ER for severe pain at the rt. hip/waste area. The ER nurses were great and apologetic. Thinking possibly a kidney stone but I am no Dr.. Dr.Moon came in & stated “no kidney stone and nothing more we can do. Go to OHSU. It’s your pancreas”. I have pancreatitis and stated it’s not. This is at my waste. Dr.Moon stated “ nothing more we can do for you here. Go to OHSU. Not today snowing”. Dr Moon never examined me.Discharge papers state pancreatic cancer. I called my DR @ OHSU and was told that I’d been there 2 weeks prior that I did not have cancer and to never see that Dr again. Go to a different hospital. A meeting with CHI ER Supervisor and was told Dr.Moon will never treat again in this hospital. That I was not the only complaint. Then I received bill from both. Criminal behavior by both Dr & hospital.

I met Dr. Moon during an ER visit, so the "courteous staff" is actually the ER nurses and techs. They were wonderful. Dr. Moon was condescending, dismissive and judgmental, treating me like I was a drug addict looking for a "fix". This was my 2nd ER visit in 3 days for a Thunderclap headache, a pain so severe I could barely see. While the first ER Dr. worked quickly to get my pain level under control, Dr. Moon tried other methods that didn't even take the edge off and refused me the painkillers that had worked wonders three days prior . I was in constant pain for nearly 2 hours and all he could say to my husband was "She needs to go home and detox" or "She's just coming down off of something" and, finally, "It's JUST a headache". It was obvious to us he had already made the presumption that we were nothing but a bunch of low-life junkies. I've dealt with insensitive physicians before but Dr Moon was the worst experience I've ever had with someone who is supposed to care… about your well-being. Maybe I just got him on a bad day, but I still would never recommend him to anyone.
