Dr. David R Mulherin, MD

It seems my earlier review didn't make it through, so I'll try again. My husband and I have gone to Dr. Mulherin a few times over the past few years. We keep going back because we've been very pleased with the work done and the courteousness and kindness we've encountered there. Most recently, I had a complicated procedure that involved bone grafts and four dental implants. Dr. Mulherin and another advanced dental surgeon both checked out my mouth and consulted with me and each other. Wow, talk about the star treatment. During the procedure itself, of course I was in and out of consciousness due to the sedation, but I recall Dr. Mulherin and not one but two assistants (sorry, I don't recall their names or correct titles now). But the three of them stood huddled around me for over three hours, with various actions going on inside my mouth and constant communication between them. I left in awe of the level of skill and also the sheer endurance (they still had a few more procedures to… do that day). If I had to sum up my feelings about Dr. Mulherin in one word, it would be "competence." And that's definitely what I'm after with dental surgery. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Mulherin and already have, several times.

My main overall impression, though, is that there's a very high level of competence, which is definitely what I'm after when it comes to surgical dental care. I just got a complicated procedure for bone grafts and four implants. When I went in for the consultation, Dr. Mulherin had brought in another high level dental specialist too, both of whom have obviously been at this a long time. They examined me and discussed my treatment plan with each other and with me. During the procedure itself, I was tended to by Dr. Mulherin and two assistants (so sorry I don't remember their names or correct titles). Of course I was in and out of consciousness, but I recall the three of them standing huddled around me for over three solid hours, with constant various actions going on, plus constant interactions between them, to get… the job done. I left in awe of the skill and also the stamina. (They still had several more procedures to do that day). I would definitely, highly, recommend Dr. Mulherin to others and I already have.

I don't understand these bad reviewers. Must be the rivals. Dr. Mulherin is great. My family and I have had many implants with him and all are perfect. Dr. Mulherin's work is gentle and ethical. He's very kind, reasonable charge. His staff are also nice. You can tell. business ethics run from the top down.

Dr. Mulherin and his staff are great! My family and I are very grateful for all the jobs well done by Dr. Mulherin. I had quad implants, husband had one implant, daughter had wisdom teeth removed and never had any complain about this office. The charge is also reasonable. We love Dr. Mulherin.

I had an implant done by Dr. Mulherin on Dec. 5, 2017. I returned on Dec. 17, 2017 as he requested. I was asked by the dental tech if I had any problems and I told her that there had been some pressure on the tooth next to this implant and that the screw was high and irritating my tongue. I thought maybe it was loose, etc. I had not said one word more and Dr. Mulherin comes into the room and he was LIVID. He told me in a nasty, abusive, bullying tone of voice that there was nothing wrong with the implant and that I had to "live with it" and that if I thought I was going to come into his office and "complain" then I could find someone else to finish the job. I was scared of him and in shock by all this. I still had not said one word to him. He then tells me to open my mouth and proceeds to remove stitches which I had no idea was there or why. I left there shaken and feeling very abused. I spoke with my family after a sleepless night and knew I could not go back to him. I am… left without medical care and it cost me $4,081.00. In my lawyers hands. Abusive, bully, egotistical without any care about you. I am a 69 year old Senior and never have I encountered this type of bullying or abuse. STAY AWAY

I would not recommend this Dr. to my enemy. He put the wrong size tooth in my small mouth. After three years I am still trying to get it fixed with a specialist . Now I have bone loss there and have to have tooth removed and bone graft. UGH !

Never again would I go to this dr.

Not at all what I expected. Very cold and disconnected.
