Dr. David Hugh Nadelman, MD

We have been waiting since Saturday for results of Covid test for my daughter thank god her cystic fibrosis doctor received them first or we would of never found out. I called and they said it is not important and it would be at the end of the day. Take my advice go somewhere else we have been going there for years always a problem

My 15 month-old granddaughter was seen by Dr. Nadelman for the first time. He was aware that she was my granddaughter. When he did his screening questions before the physical exam, he inquired as to whom she spent the most time with during the day. I told him with her mom and often with me. His response was "why is that? Is it because of a drug problem...substance abuse...?". I was taken aback by his question and his assumption. It took me a minute to process what he had said. As he continued on with the exam, I then questioned him as to why he asked if my daughter had a drug/substance abuse problem. As he stumbled through his words and what to say to me, he then stated that he was just asking because he was wondering why my daughter was not at the appointment. I calmly said to him that my daughter works and that it is not uncommon for a grand parent to help with his/her grandchild. I am African-American and Dr. Nadelman exhibited casual racism toward my family.

Dr. Nadelman is an exceptional doctor. My daughters have experienced a number of health issues over the last 17 years including: thalassemia trait, salmonella, abscesses, concussions, as well as all of the typical things kids go through. Each time I have brought them to his office, Dr. Nadelman has accurately diagnosed them and treated them accordingly. Some of these health issues involved several tests and follow-ups and Dr. Nadelman and his team were thorough and relentless in resolving these health issues. There were days when I received 4 calls from his office to see if she was better. When my daughter was hospitalized for 5 days with salmonella (we didn't know what it was at the time), Dr. Nadelman visited her at the hospital, ordered the appropriate tests, and called me several times on his cell phone as we searched for the cause of what was making her horribly sick. Dr. Nadelman is smart, thorough and accurate. In addition to Dr. Nadelman's wonderful care, his nurses and… office staff are kind and helpful too. I can't say enough about his wonderful care.

Dr. Nadelman is the best pediatrician. I interviewed him when pregnant with my twins. I knew he was the doctor to pick. My twins were 10 weeks premature, he was there to visit while they were in the NICU. They are college kids now and we still use him. Anyone looking for a kind, caring and attentive doctor should select him for their kid.

Let me first start out saying my daughter has several medical problems. Everything from allergies, skin conditions to congenital hip displasure and other medical issues. I am extremely selective about my daughters doctors. I have went threw several pediatricians the first year of my daughters life because of the lack of empathy and knowledge of her health issues. We have been with Dr Nadelman for 15 years now and my oppinion of him has only grown over the years. My daughter truly loves and respects Dr Nadelman and has even felt comfortable talking to him about problems that are harder to share. My daughter has been to several Dermatologists and Allergist over the years for severe problems but Dr Nadelman has been the one who has made the most progress in those areas and has all her issues under control. If we have an emergency they always try and get you in as soon as possible even if that means staying a little later. But the one thing a respect the most about him is that he will… never rush your time with him. Dr Nadelman is the only Dr my daughter or I have had that will always listen to your problem, concerns and issues without cutting you off or dismissing them. Making sure he has all your problems addressed and treated. He makes it a point to communicate to my daughters other doctors to make sure my daughter recieves the best treatment possible. Dr Nadelman is priceless part of our community and I feel so blessed to have found him.

Dr. Nadelman has served our family for 27 years. He was my pediatrician as a child, and is now my children's pedi. He is always very thorough with his diagnosis and gets along very well with the children! The wait is a little bit longer than other pedi's but its WORTH IT to know someone I trust is working wiht my family's health. His ofice has a giant fish tank,lots of books, and two chalkboards so the kids have fun while waiting. It's really a great place to go.
