Dr. Newbern was a great listener with a wonderful bedside manner! He explained to my satisfaction what all a total knee replacement would entail. I signed up for the next available time for surgery. And his nurse, Edna, was so sweet and personable!

Dr. Newbern did a wonderful job explaining condition of my knee, and walked me through all my options helping me to come to a very informed decision on how to move forward

It was my first time meeting Dr.Newbern his staff and his care was great.

Dr. Newbern’s reputation precedes him. His work is just wonderful and my sister praises him for excellence on her hip surgery x 3 years ago. I’m seeing him for a hip fall now. I feel that I am in good hands and care.

Dr. Newbern did my hip replacement in '06. He was patient and listened to my concerns. He explained the entire process of how he was going to operate on me. I never felt like he was rushing me out the door. Dr. Newbern arranged for a physical therapist and a home health nurse to come to my home so I wouldn't have to go out for therapy or to have my coumadin levels checked. Dr. Newbern should be the only surgeon you need to consult with if you need hip or knee surgery! I only wish he would move his practice to PA where I live now.

Great doctor and spends lots of time to answer questions and concerns. Very pleased with outcome of surgery for a 75 year old.

Dr. Newbern has followed me with an injury from a bad fall in which I had multiple fractures and was previously treated by another doctor in a different area of the state and was hospitalized in that area. From the injury I had I kept telling that doctor of my knee hurting and he literally slammed the office door in my face during my visit. I finally went to Dr. Newbern and he has been great treating my knee. His PA, Donna Baron, has been fantastic giving me injections in my knee and very easy. The cortisone injection did nothing but my "rooster shots" have helped, but Medicare says they last for 6 months and they last about 4 months. Dr. Newbern has followed through on the other problems and referred me to the appropriate physician. The only complaint I would have is the appointment scheduling people who evidently do not know how to triage an appointment and for these kind of docs they need that expertise. Six weeks to two months is too long to wait to see these types of… doctors. One might consider getting a new administrator and I know a great one who has held this position in Houston and is willing to move to Little Rock.
