Dr. David J. Newman, MD

He ruined my life he did a surgery that he knew nothing about to stroke his ego I had Staph in my bloodstream it dormented under his care. He put me in a wheelchair for a year. I decided to go to a surgeon in Syracuse NY and was told what he did to me was a bad decision. This Dr took out my prosthetic Dr Newman had built and cleaned it out and put in a new prosthetic which is all Dr Newman had to do out that's when I was told the staph had traveled to my bloodstream likely came in contact with it in my surgery at Canton Potsdam hospital.I was never tested for an infection clearly it showed on a bone scan that Dr Newman had ordered and did nothing about it A few patients had called me about him do to a resource I can not disclose. They told me what happened to them under Dr Newman care. Please stay away from him if you want to save your life. The staph had traveled to my bones I have medications I have to take for the rest of my life. Only if Dr Newman knew what he has done to me step… up to the plate I'd feel better. I look at the wheelchair he put me in and I'm determined to walk again.

I had written a comment previously and an error message came up? Dr. Newman was very prompt at the initial visit and he told and showed us via x-rays the problem with my knee. He was also very prompt with the surgical time also as I was told it would be 7:45 am and I was in at 7:44! First time in my years of surgery that has happened. He came to the room in pre-op not only to look at the knee but to ask if I had any questions and gave me ample time to ask them. My husband was also extremely satisfied with the care I received. After the surgery he came to the room at the hospital and took his time explaining what he found even though he had explained it after the surgery itself. I found that amazing. Previous to the surgery I had my right foot going out to the right and causing gait problems and I did not know it was because of my knee and after the surgery the foot was absolutely straight again! He had found the problem and fixed it at the tibial component. I was so glad! I had… minimal pain maybe at a 1 out of 10 during the hospital stay and even at home! I am and have already recommended Dr. Newman to a friend who is needing knee surgery. I highly recommend him to any person needing surgery! Thank you Dr. Newman!

Dr. Newman and his staff took all my questions at my appointment and during and after the surgery to heart. He took his time answering. They answered them all and my mind was totally at ease going into this knee revision. My husband was at ease also. The next morning after surgery he came to the room and explained what he had found and how it was fixed and I was extremely thankful to not only hear that but he took the time to tell me. Previous to the surgery my right foot had been way to the right causing me to have a disturbed gait due to my knee. While he was doing the surgery he found a problem with the tibial component, fixed that, and when I awakened my right foot was absolutely straight. I totally would and have already recommended him to a friend who is needing knee surgery and anyone else who needs orthopedic surgery.

I don't like dr. Newman's bedside manner all he's interested in is operating on you and collecting his money and as far as your concerns or problems you have after surgery does not interest him whatsoever so I'm finding me another surgeon to find out what's going on with my knee after surgery
