Dr. David Wayne Niederee, MD

Without a doubt, the rudest physician I have ever encountered. I also have serious doubts as to his competence. I will never go to him again and will do my best to steer others away as well.

Dr Niediree has been doctoring my mother for several years. He has said she has congestive heart failure. Her blood work says she has fluid. He has not said he will referral her to heart specialist. I decided to take her and when I asked for a referral he was rude but did it to who he wanted her to go to. I found out my mom did not need a referral so got an apt with someone else. The 1st heart specialist said was she was on too many fluid pills. He did blood work,ekg, and chest X-ray. Our 2nd apt Heart Dr said there was “NO” fluid round her heart. He cut her back on fluid pills to half of what Dr N had her on. He said blood work showed she did have some fluid but sure wasn’t round her heart. Mom got better after cutting her fluid pills back. Mom is very stubborn and after going to Heart Dr just afew times and when she went she was doing great so last apt said he would see her in 3 months(mom didn’t like that he didn’t want to see her sooner. I told her it doesn’t mean if… she is feeling bad she should go in for apt). I had no support from my siblings and mom said she wasn’t going back she was just going to Dr N. I found out Dr N had not checked my mom’s blood work for several years cause she was on blood thinner. He was suppose to be checking it every month. Since mom has been back to seeing Dr N she is going down hill again. I have had several people tell me they have also had bad experience with Dr N. I do not understand how a primary care dr can doctor someone that he is telling them she has congestive heart failure!!!! I would not recommend this Dr to anyone.

I have had excellent care with Dr. Niederee and have been going to him as a young child in Derby.

Went to Dr. Niederee for a number of years. Always pleasant and asked about the family, etc. Never had any problems...but never had anything serious. Once I did, I found out the hard way, not to question him. I was having problems with numbness and pain in my feet and he ran a couple of tests, but never followed up. I did my own research and made an appointment with a neurologist. He diagnosed me with peripheral neuropathy and ran tests discovering I was diabetic. I contacted Niederee for a referral to a diabetes clinic and he refused, telling me I wasn't diabetic (not sure how he knew since he had never run any tests). I contacted the neurologist, who was shocked and said my numbers were off the chart and referred me to the clinic himself. Have similar stories from other family members and friends who are former patients.

My family has been seeing Dr Neideree for 24 years. He is very good. Highly recommend him.

So I went to visit him when i was 20 told him some drinking stories, when I went to join the military at 22 I had my security clearance denied and I asked why this was because I was honest about my paperwork. They told me a medical official had submitted a strong testimony, meaning that this man had kept my personaly information which i shared with him, not only disclosing it when asked by the government but probably to his community as well. I wouldn't tell this guy the time of day, needs to retire. Another amazing thing was that a neighbor of mine knew about my visit before I had said anything to anybody.

Very rude

Dr. N gave me so medications I ended up in the ER and was told by the ER Doctors that my condition was due to an overdose of too many prescriptions at one time. These medications were over 600.00 out of pocket and when I confronted Dr. N about the ER Doctor's report, he said nothing. Last time I saw him and I would not recommend this Dr. to my worst enemy.

Don't go to this doctor if you suspect a life-threatening condition. Recently I has surgery. My leg started swelling and tremendously painful, I called his office and was told by his snippy nurse, that he refused to refer me to the ER until I went to his lab, which wouldn't happen until tomorrow. I then called the surgeon's office who said, go now, it is life-threatening. I called back to this doctor, told them what the surgeon said, and his nurse aagain snippily said that he refused until I went to his lab. I opted to go to the ER anyway. And you got it, they discovered a life thretening blood clot in my leg.

If you want to be treated like a drug addict and have bills ran up, he is the perfect doctor for you. He did not care about the pain I was in and is only there to bring in the bucks.
