Dr. David Wayne Nixon, MD

My daughter has been going to Dr. Nixon for a long time now. My sons have expressed their concern for their mother taking Xanax to Dr. Nixon and Dr. Nixon told them to mind their own business and that it wasn’t any of their business. She abuses Xanax her personality totally changes she then lives dangerously in every way. Also she sells her Scripps her pills. I want Dr. Nixon to stop prescribing my daughter Xanax. It’s not good for her Check the hospitals and find out that she has overdosed on Xanax several times. The doctor should check on these things don’t you think? I don’t want my daughter to die and I want Dr. Nixon to stop prescribing her Xanax if he truly cares about her.

He invited me to help with my own care plan and discussed feedback at length. Maybe because I'm a nurse...but I'd like to hope not.

The doctor is professional. He addresses your needs. He follows up on the medication prescribed. I would recommend him to others.

Dr. Nixon treated a family member (my daughter) for several years. She became extremely drug dependent and eventually incapacitated by the medications the medications that he prescribed. She was/is a bright, talented woman with a promising career. Dr. Nixon's practices nearly cost me my daughter. This man should not be permitted the right to practice medicine anywhere!

Dr. Nixon engages in a practice of needlessly overmedicating his patients, denying the side effects are related to the myriad of drugs he has prescribed and relying upon repeat business based upon the drug reliance that he has created. His practices violate his hippocratic oath and betray the trust that is placed in him as a specialist by a patient who is very likely to rely heavily upon his judgement as a Psychiatrist. His conduct is shameful.

While Dr. Nixon is obviously knowledgable in many areas of life which speaks to his intelligence and curiosity. This ability to gather information from all walks of life, allows him to see beyond a textbook and to apply cutting-edge methods of medications which can offer relief from those suffering with things that only have been treated with a formula, versus looking at the whole of the person and all the intricacies of multiple issues happening at once. He is caring and empathic in a way that one learns early to let their guard down, because they know they will be safe. He gently challenges one to perhaps tackle something new, look at something a different way, or an idea on how a cycle could be broken.

he signed my brother off as competent and that began a series of arrests and drug use. all this after he had been seeing my brother over ten years!! what a total disappointment in my brother's case. thanks to him, my siblings and I all have to attend court and try to fix the mess he created because he let my brother be his own caretaker. then, when we tried to get the doctor's help, he said no. i am sure he meant well...
