David Oltmans, D.D.S
Dr. David Oltmans has been providing the highest standard in dental care in downtown Minneapolis since 1971.  He is committed to building long-term relationships with his patients, and to providing the quality comprehensive care they expect and deserve.
Dr. Oltmans received his formal dental education at the University of Minnesota.  But long before that he was privileged to learn the art of dentistry from his father, Dr. Samuel Oltmans – a leader of preventive and restorative dentistry in the Twin Cities and throughout the Midwest from 1946 to1980.  When David earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree he joined his father’s practice.  They practiced together proudly for over a decade, learning from one another and advancing modern dentistry.
Over the years "Dr. Dave" built his own practice of distinction specializing in patient comfort, preventive care, and artful restorative dentistry. Nothing gives him more pleasure than giving his …patients beautifully transformed smiles.  He has gathered a team of highly qualified dental professionals who share his vision for providing state of the art comprehensive care.  Together they have created an office environment that is progressive, welcoming and engaging.
Today Dr. Oltmans is mindful of his distinguished dental legacy while incorporating ever new and innovative technologies and services, such as implant dentistry, digital imaging, and electronic record keeping.  The result is the great dentistry and timeless style of CITYSCAPE Dental Arts.

Dr. Oltmans and his team provide free dental care to children in need through Give Kids a Smile Day.
Habitat for Humanity 500 mile bike ride, raising over $50,000 to build affordable housing in Minnesota.
Westminster Presbyterian Church, active in the FEAST Program, serving meals to the homeless.
Friends of Diamond Lake, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting Diamond Lake; Co-founder and President; recipient of Minnehaha Creek Watershed District,  Watershed Heroes Award
City of Minneapolis appointment to serve on the Minnehaha Creek Visioning Committee.
Family and Personal Interests
Dr. Oltmans and his wife, Leigh, have two adult children, Michael, married to Janina, and Rebekah.  They enjoy family get-togethers whenever possible, especially if board games, restaurants or canoe trips in the Boundary Waters are involved.
Dr. Oltmans is an avid bike rider (he bicycles to work nine months of the year) and vegetable gardener.  He also enjoys cross-country skiing, camping, and agate hunting on the shores of Lake Superior.
