Dr. David G. Ormond, MD

David Ormond, MD provides general surgery services at PeaceHealth. He studied medicine at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, followed by experience in New York City and residency training in Danbury, CT, and finally at the University of Rochester.

During his residency Dr. Ormond participated in a Simulation and Education Fellowship, studying educational theory, simulation techniques, and debriefing methodology.

Dr. Ormond comes from a family that included expertise in both medicine and hands-on craftsmanship.

"My mother was a nurse and instilled a duty to serve within me. My father was a hobbyist carpenter and fostered a love in me of working with my hands. These passions are naturally combined in the surgical specialty. I strive to utilize the latest surgical techniques and methods. I am mindful that each patient has their own story and I look forward to learning about it and helping them move past their disease."

Away from work you'll find Dr. …Ormond exploring the outdoors with his family. His favorite places include the ocean and the local hockey arena.
