David J. Pabst, PA-C

David Pabst, PA-C, was born and raised in Newberry and is the founder and owner of the practice. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida in 2017. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed a post-baccalaureate Associate of Science degree in Emergency Medical Services and served the communities of Columbia and Bradford counties as an EMT and Paramedic until 2021. He later attended the Physician Assistant Program at the University of South Florida from 2021 to 2023 and obtained his Physician Assistant licensure in May 2023.

After completing his training, David began working in the emergency department at AdventHealth Ocala alongside a collaborative team of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. During this time, he observed the rapid growth of Newberry and recognized an increasing demand for accessible walk-in and primary care services. Motivated to address this need, he established his clinic using a direct primary care …model designed to provide patients with more personalized, attentive, and accessible healthcare. While he still works occasional shifts in the emergency department, his primary focus is delivering thorough, patient-centered care within the clinic.

In addition to his clinical work, David has been actively involved in community health initiatives. He has participated in and helped develop THRIVE Newberry (The Healthy Resource Initiative Voicing Empathy), a City of Newberry–sponsored program dedicated to supporting families in need and promoting health and wellness throughout the community.
