Dr. David Lamia Parris, MD

Dr. Parris was the anesthesiologist for a cardiac ablation procedure I had at Sequoia Hospital in Aug. 2018. Unlike previous ablation procedures where I was left with a severe sore throat and eccymoses of my left forearm from the wrist to the elbow where an arterial line was placed, Dr. Parris utilized a pediatric scope which did not traumatize my throat compared to the larger adult size used in previous procedures. Further his expertise in placing the arterial line left minimal bruising and no pain over the subsequent weeks after the procedure unlike what I had experienced in the past. He is capable of critical thinking and judging the best instruments to use based on the individual needs of each patient. You would be blessed to have him as your anesthesiologist.

Not just a handsome man but fun, put me at ease during a stressful time. And of course did a great job taking care of me!

Dr. Parris was the anesthesiologist for my surgery at Sequoia hospital. He worked with me to figure out how to prevent post op nausea and vomiting which is a known problem for me, after surgery, if I'm not given the correct anesthesia. I felt perfect after surgery and had no N/V. I've had arrogant anesthesiologists who did not care about the patient, would not communicate, and were dismissive of my concerns. Dr. Parris is very different...kind, knowledgeable of state of the art practices in his area of expertise and an excellent communicator.
