Dr. David Hobart Payne, 65, of Irvine, was found guilty late Friday afternoon at the conclusion of a six-day trial. The jury found Payne guilty of one count of conspiracy, two counts of honest services wire fraud, and one count of use of an interstate facility in aid of bribery. I have waited years to write a review about this scam of a "doctor" in the workers comp system. He schedules appointments for a full day and then showed up 3 hours late every single time for my AM appointment. I began to wonder why all of his clients were bringing lunch and making their appointment a social event - they knew how he workes his patients and since they only needed him to work the system. This Dr.'s other "patients" were simply there for his signature on their work comp paperwork in order to keep them on the state pay out system - it became crystal clear and so obvious. I would be an AM appointment and there would be 15+ other people laughing and exchanging food they brought and having a good ol time at the doctors office, then Dr Pain [Payne] would grace us with his presence. He would sign off on everyones paperwork who lined up in front of his office door then leave me to be the last one. At that point his acting would start in front of my wife and I - taking pictures,… for what I don't know - while laying it on thick with how much he cared and was going to help me. After nothing for far too long I eventually got away from him but not until I wasted 2 months of suffering without any actual care. All of that knowing my severe head injury which left me with staples across my head needed treatment ASAP. The only person I hated more in the whole workers comp system of California at that time was Arnold Schwarzenegger who took away patients rights and gave work comp insurance companies all the leverage to approve or deny care that actual injured people needed. But as I left Mr Pain behind I got to see why those changes were made in the office of Dr Payne.

Ive seen over a 100 Dr's in my life up till now in 2017@49yrs old, buy far my experience with him was a complete blessing, he took over an hour&½ with me 2go over all my MRI& CT &x-rays of my spine that I had done at Kaiser&he found things the kaiser neuro-surgeon&main spine dr completely didn't find or see ect, this gentleman is a real listener& genuinely cares what ur problems,pains&quality of life is&he's a fixer with a can do attitude, im not a Christian but u can feel his spirit working&flowing thru him2u, I know will be having upper back surgery as well as getn my body fixed & moving again BUT painfree, I truly cannot express my greatfulness 4 this real caring soul that is a GREAT DOCTOR, I will be seeing him from now on, I encourage anyone 2just meet the man&ul experience what a REAL down2earth truly caring gentleman Dr he is! Very unprofessional and smelled like body odor

For years I have suffered with migraines, Dr. Payne was able to diagnose why in one visit when everyone else who looked at my MRI said it's normal. He is the most genuine doctor I have ever met, I have met A LOT over the last 9 years....16 to be exact. When he couldn't see me for 2 weeks to help me, he gave me his cell number and told me to call him day or night if I ever had a question about my procedure or issue. Each and every time he answered. That is why we wait, because he gives a darn about his patients and takes the time to answer their calls to calm their concerns. The man is amazing!

Dr payne is a very good dr yes you may have to wait for him but he is the most loving and caring doctor you will ever meet I've been seeing him for quite a while he did 2 neck surgery shoulder surgery i couldn't ask for a better daughter than I have
