Dr. David Christopher Pearce, MD

He was my doctor when I had a miscarriage and he didn't seem to have an ounce of compassion. He asked me if I wanted the fetus to come out on it's own or if I wanted him to take care of it. I said for it to come out on its own. He went ahead and scraped it off my cervix as he said it was just sitting there. It was then difficult to get a pain med script from him because he said the pain should be gone within the hour. Well that night I woke with the worst pain of my life! Thank goodness I had advocated for the script so that I had pain meds available. Recently he was the only doctor I could get an appt. with and it was an emergency, so I took the appt. He casually told me that they saw what looked to be a 6mm fibroid during my last visit 1.5 years prior (when I had my miscarriage) but no one called me to follow-up about this and I had to advocate for myself to get another ultrasound to be sure. Meanwhile, I've suffered greatly with immense period pain and bleeding between periods, of… which he thought was normal for my age (36- my doctor friend says that's too young for this). Anyway, when I voiced my concerns to him nicely about the above, his only response to me was, "Do you want to go somewhere else?" No apologies, no "sorry you feel that way", "I appreciate your input", Nothing! I'm a fellow professional in the community and have many professional/business connections. I want to make others aware of my experiences so that they may make an informed decision about this doctor.

I like the how Dr Pearce takes you into his office and has a sit down with you to discuss the things that has gone on in your health for the past year before the actual exam. I like how he discusses everything with you afterwards. He is always pleasant and to the point about things.
