Best bedside manner of any physician I've encountered...and I'm an RN! Knowledgeable, caring, quick, efficient with great follow-up.

We spent 5 hours in the emergency room at Providence Hospital last night. Our experience was so much different than any emergency room situation we'd been in at any other hospital, including those much smaller, and on a less busy night. The front desk handled us quickly, the expert technician they brought in to run the equipment was capable and thorough, and the nurses who helped us were sweethearts, all. And our doctor was Dr. David Peel. Its a rare gift for any doctor to make an instant focused connection with his patients. But here is a situation where he has to establish trust, knowledge, and compassion instantly, and with eight or more other patients at the same time, all through his shift, every day he works. Dr. Peel did this for us, and I strongly suspect that he finds this connection with patients most of the time. And without a hint of arrogance. Its striking me that the kindness of everyone we met yesterday is a reflection of the kindness and priorities of the doctors who… manage their emergency room. What gentle, greathearted people. Lucky us.

sometimes when you visit with a DR. in the ER it seems they are really just trying to get you in and out. Well Dr. Peel was amazing and I am very thankful to have gotten to meet him and be seen by him. He really helped me through a tough time.
