Dr petruska is a great Dr with a great bedside manner ...he fixed my back problem when he was in Louisville Ky with 2 rods best Doctor around ! If I would ever need surgery again i would travel to Florida to Dr.Petruska...thanks so much

Had back surgery in 2006 I hurt my back at work around 2000 and the company doctor and never would order a mri or ct just a xray so I was hurtand of work for a avg of 12 weeks a year from 2000 to 2006 basically keeping me on pain meds and pt to keep going during that time I was very important to the company being one of less than ten people in the nation the could do the job so my doctor ordered a mri on a monday was in doctor petruska office in two days and in surgery the next week he was great and very honest I had a 50/50 shot he get the pain out of my legs not my back and because the disk was 90 percent cutting into my spine achance I ccouldn't walk again I was one fall from that happening anyway so had surgery with no option and I'm walking and pain gone in legs but have terrible pain in my back but that was the great 50 percent I ended up having to stop working because of the pain but I thank him so much because he gave me the chance to walk great doctor

If that sounds dramatic, it's because it is. After being told by one well recommended surgeon that in his opinion, there was no surgeon who would "touch me" in my severly deteriorated condition, I took the chance (nothing left to lose) with Dr. Petruska, after his being recommended to me. He was honest and realistic from the very beginning, and unlike some docs I've seen, seemed to truly care. he performed surgery on me this year. I had pretty much given up, after 5 years of severe and debilitating pain. he told me I would always have back problems, but that he felt he could give me some improvement. I honestly felt my life was over. I am happy to say that, after 5 months of healing, that I am truly starting to feel like my old self again..and I am amazed and grateful. I still have some pain, but I would say 90% less. I have not felt like this in many years. Not only Dr. Petruska, but his entire staff at St. Mary;s. (special mention to Roberto) were all amazingly kind, professional,… and caring. I TRULY mean it when I say "Thank you for giving me my life back", I seriously thought suicide was the only answer. THANK YOU.

Dr Petruska is a wonderful surgeon. Professional and respectful. Would highly recommend.

I have been a patient of Dr. Petruska's since the early 90's. The best does not always get the best reviews. If you are looking for pain meds or a quick fix, don't look here. He is a respectable surgeon and man. He will help if you are willing to be helped. Addicts, don't stop here!!! Go find a pain Doc if you need pain relief!!

This doctor used to practice in Louisville, KY, where he collapsed onto a patient during surgery. I had to have another surgery to correct his mistakes.

I found him to be carrying and concerned. He was very honest, and was interested in my well being. My surgery was a great success.

I have lived with unspeakable pain since Petruska did a discectomy on me eight years ago. My hope is that I can save one person from the pain that I have suffered after treatment from this man. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Misdiagnosed my problem and I was MUCH worse after surgery. He had problems with his former partner. Nice enough guy, just a quack.
