Dr. David Jeffrey Poynter, MD

I have seen many doctors in my life! Dr Poynter is easy to get an appt with. Attentive to my concerns, honest and has helped me with issues I have. Office staff friendly and polite.

Just had a very through exam and positive experience with Dr. Poynter last week. I liked his manner and I also wanted to mention his wonderful nurse, Jill. The only negative thing is that his scale is ridiculously off, I am sure I don't weigh near that much!

First would certainly tell a friend. In fact, my daughter will be coming here soon. I liked the fact that the Doctor listened carefully, asked questions, told me things, explained things, and also he likes to do things without medications as a first defense. I am thrilled! I am allergic to so many medications that changing my lifestyle is what I have chosen to do to begin management of diabetes. And this doctor is behind making lifestyle changes before medications, but, he did say he would always be honest with me. So that leaves me confident that we will management my life together and it will not being with a bathroom counter full of medications. Oh, please remember that without an amazing staff I would never have come here in the first place. First impressions over the phone first made me make an appointment in the first place.

I first met Dr Poynter and another Family medical practice down the road from where I live. After my appointment with him I new I had a new Dr. When he left that practice I decided that I would follow him to his new location in Loganville. He is very personable and he takes his time to get to know you as a person and not just another patient. I have not had a Dr. that I really liked for quite some time. If you are looking for a new Family Dr. he is the one you want to see.

My visit with Dr. Poynter was wonderful. He took time to explain things to me and treated me with respect and his treatment is absolutely correct. I thank him so much for taking care of me. I trust his opinion and will continue to visit his office for any and all of my health problems.

I would tell people that I recommend DR David because he is a caring doctor and he listens to you. You would not think he has to go on to the next patient. He is the best family doctor I have had in a long time.

If you are looking for a practice that cares about you, the patient (not you, a number) then this practice is for you. Everyone in the office cares about your overall well-being, not just pushing you out the door so they can see the next patient. They are extremely thorough in their evaluation, and treat you like a family member when coming up with a plan to treat you. A Loganville Family and Sports Medicine, you are a person, not a number.

This was a first time visit for me with at Loganville Family Sports Medicine. Dr. Poynter's courteous staff members were great from the ease of making the appointment, the timeliness of actually seeing the Doctor and the time spent with me discussing the details concerning my visit. I look forward to having Dr. Poynter as my family physician.

I am so glad a friend recommended Dr. Poynter. I had been searching for a doctor that would listen to my concerns and share their thoughts - I have been to docs who are quickly in and out and another who just didn't tell me what they were thinking. Every time I leave Dr. Poynter's office I have learned something new. He not only listens, but does a wonderful job of explaining what is going on and sharing about research he has read on the subject. He also has some great analogies that make things clear. I have never had trouble getting an appointment and truly enjoy the staff. My son has begun seeing him as well and my husband will be going whenever he gets around to scheduling an appointment.

Dr. Poynter is a great doctor. He takes time to sit down with you and make sure you understand what's going on in your appointment. Very easy going and easy to talk to. I recommend him and his practice to all my friends and family in the area because I've had such wonderful experiences!
