Dr. David Prentice, DC

Dr. David Y Prentice, D.C. is a skilled chiropractor practicing at Sports & Spinal Clinic, LLC in Anchorage, AK. 

Dr. David served as the chiropractor for the JBER–Elmendorf 673rd Medical Group Hospital from 2007 to 2016, where he provided musculoskeletal care to thousands of servicemen and women. In that role he integrated chiropractic services into a military medical setting, collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, and other providers to support active-duty readiness and rehabilitation. His clinical focus in the hospital emphasized safe, evidence-informed care tailored to the demands of military service members, with a track record of treating a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.

A 2004 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. David is committed to ongoing professional development and to advancing the chiropractic profession. He is an active member of the Alaska Chiropractic Society and the American Chiropractic Association, and he …previously contributed to the ACA Military Chiropractic working group. He has pursued advanced training in shoulder, hip, and knee dysfunctions and is currently completing an advanced diplomate certification in chiropractic orthopedics, reflecting a deepening specialty in complex joint and soft-tissue disorders.

Rooted in Alaska since childhood, Dr. David moved there with his parents and sister in 1973 and has maintained strong community ties throughout his career. He and his wife, Wendi, are parents to four children, and he balances his professional commitments with a longstanding dedication to family and local service. This combination of clinical expertise, military healthcare experience, and community connection defines his approach to patient care and professional engagement.
