Dr. David B Rad, DDS

EducationDr. David Rad grew up outside Boston in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He completed his undergraduate education at Boston University, from which he graduated with honors in economics. Next he attended Boston University School of Dental Medicine, and earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine magna cum laude.Dr. David was granted membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for excellence in academic achievement. He also received the certificate of excellence from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology for his outstanding academic achievements in the field of oral pathology.Dr. David obtained a Master of Science and a certificate of advanced graduate study at Boston University Dental School in the fields of both orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He served as chief resident during his clinical residency.He has also done extensive research in bone biology and metabolism during his postgraduate training.Continuing EducationDr. David …practiced general dentistry and orthodontics in a private practice in Wellesley before moving to the Maryland and Virginia area. He advocates the use of the latest techniques and technologies in orthodontics and incorporates them at Rad² Orthodontics in order to provide the most efficient, highest quality of treatment possible.In 2012, he and his brother were recognized as Super Elite Invisalign® Providers, which placed them in the top 1% of Invisalign providers in the world.In the Dental CommunityDr. David is highly active in local dental groups and study clubs. He is vice president of the Bi-County Dental Study Club in Prince George’s County, co-founder and vice president of the Premier Study Club in Chevy Chase, and a member of several others, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, Maryland State Society of Orthodontics, and Southern Maryland Dental Society.Dr. David also lectures locally about Invisalign and other advances in orthodontic treatment. He spends as much time as possible participating in these organizations so he can stay at the forefront of dental progress and offer the highest level of care to his patients.Outside the PracticeWhen he’s not in the office, Dr. David enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is an avid runner and enjoys playing tennis, squash, and soccer. He spends as much time as he can on the water: fishing, paddle boarding, and wakeboarding.
