Dr. David Brownlie Ramsay IV, MD

I found Dr Ramsay only interested in doing a colonoscopy and providing no support for my problem. He referred me back to my general practitioner when I described symptoms which she had referred me to him for and which he obviously should have had treated. He should very little concern for me,listened very little, and even suggested that I text him to save money instead of returning for next appointment. He did nothing to help me but got his colonoscopy completed!! I will find a better doctor!

Have been going to practice for 20 years. Switched to Ramsay because my preference, Vic Sears, is in K’ville. Ramsay did not listen to me when I warned him about my medical history and how to handle a specific situation. It was not a good outcome. Is defensive, against new techniques, and dialates colon to the size of a street drain pipe. Hurries procedures to do10 colonoscopies by noon. Defensive; personality of a surgeon.

I have been a patient of Digestive Health Specialists for years now. Dr. Ramsay has been condescending of my opinion and has not communicated a caring demeanor. Had to "demand" him do anything after initial endoscopy and colonoscopy testing were complete. I am 82 pounds and when asked what he thought, his response was to go somewhere else. Pretty much wiping his hands of me as a patient.

I found this doctor inexperienced, ignorant of alternative therapies and testing in his own field, and having a general lackadaisical air. He seems more than ready to perform surgery when it might not be needed and didn't show a full comprehension of the effects that surgery would have in the long run. I did not feel comfortable with him handling my case.
