I love Dr. Ranz and the whole office staff - but it is impossible to call the office for an appt! Thats always what I tell people that are interested in making an appt

Dr. And team are exceptional absoluterly no complaints.

Have been seeing Dr. Ranz for over 4 years and now he is with Vanderbilt and can no longer reach anyone in his office, it goes to a local call center. He has not be credentialed to take VSP and no one at the call center has been very helpful as to if or when, you always get a different answer, and you have to give all your personal information JUST for them to answer the insurance question. I will find someone else.

First went to Dr.Ranz some years ago and still remain a loyal patient He is very skilled at what he does and I always feel as if I got the best treatment I could get anywhere!!

Some years back this doctor told me I needed eye surgery. I did not feel that I did so I ignored it. Out of no where I received a letter from him saying he is not responsible for my health since I choose not to have the surgery. What? Fast forward a few years and discovered I have a serious health issue that not only affects my heart but my eyes as well. The specialist at John's Hopkins told me that they do not like to give this surgery to patients with my genetic issue and will do so with no other option. They told me the surgery is risky to the health of my vision and only allow a surgeon who is very familiar with my genetic defect. Dr. Ranz never mentioned my genetic defect and I can only shudder that he would have put the health of my eyes in jeopardy. Obviously he is only about making $$ and not about the health of his patient!!

My last visit to an Eye Doctor was 5 years ago. Yesterday, I had the good fortune to have been examined by Dr. Ranz. His examination was thorough and he took the time to explain his findings. His attention to my particular diagnosis was rewarding, in that I had no questions after our time together. As an added note, he also took time to explain a photographic diagnosis to me. His staff was exemplary and his offices were scrupulously clean. I would recommend Dr David Ranz to anyone who needs and wants the utmost in professional diagnosis and eye care.
